A Great Security and Safety Product For Your Kids

Herbie Hydrant The Security And Home Safety Device

Every once in a while, I see a safety or emergency product that is so useful that I feel it’s my obligation to let my readers know about it. Today I ran across one of those products and instantly I knew it was something that every parent who reads this blog would want to know about.

Herbie Hydrant The Security And Home Safety Device

I was shopping at KBToys.com for my daughter’s birthday present, and being the penny pincher that I am, I was looking to see what they had on sale. Well, low and behold I found a gem. It’s a device that acts as a nightlight, a flashlight, a visual and audio locator, a safe, a safety drill tool and an intruder deterrent. This amazing little contraption is called Herbie Hydrant The Security And Home Safety Device. Now will my daughter ever need to use all of these features? Probably not but it’s not impossible and that was enough to convince me to buy the product.

What Exactly Does Herbie Do?

So what exactly does Herbie do? Well, if everything’s quiet and as it should be, Herbie is nothing more than a friendly-looking nightlight with a storage space to hold important papers like birth certificates and social security cards. However, if your smoke detector goes off your child can take Herbie off the cradle and he turns into a flashlight, LED lights begin to flash and the sound of a siren fills the air. Even in the darkest rooms, finding your child would not be a problem.

As soon as Herbie goes into action, a timer is set. This can provide crucial data to emergency response teams and can also help your family time themselves in emergency evacuation drills.

What’s It Cost?

Okay, if Herbie was full price I may think twice about buying him. He’s normally $44.99. However, at the time of posting this message, Herbie is on sale at KBToys.com for $12.99. That’s $32 off so I really couldn’t resist buying two of them – one for my daughter and one for my boys’ room.
